Hi world! My name is Sonia Emore, founder of A Time to Create, LLC. I’m a singer/songwriter from Chicago, Illinois. I come from a huge family of 8 siblings, 17 nieces and nephews and other members that are too many to count. I moved to Atlanta, GA over 10 years ago, at the age of 18 to pursue my dream of singing and songwriting. I’ve had the opportunity to intern at Hot beat recording studios for two years and was also fortunate to work with Speech 2x Grammy Award winner of the band Arrested Development, as well as Kevin “Khao” Cates Platinum Producer and founder/Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of Bridge Da Gap Inc.
I’ve volunteered at Safehouse Outreach for several years, feeding people without homes, assisting young girls to gain confidence and helping to make sure unfortunate children had gifts for the holidays. In August of 2013 I was blessed with an amazing opportunity to work at The Globe Academy as a teaching assistant as well as an aftercare teacher. I’ve enjoyed working with amazing teachers and have gained valuable experience needed to lead children into having a successful future.
Over the years of being an artist, I realized that the arts have a powerful effect on the world we live in. It can be used for good or bad. I chose to use art as a way to create life-changing events. I love to uplift and inspire people to be their best. I believe that there is so much beauty in the world, all it takes is a courageous soul to release it, and that’s what I intend to do.
Fun fact about me: I enjoy pulling fun pranks on my friends, as well as traveling and meeting new people. One of my favorite things to do is act like I have my own cooking show on the Food Network channel whenever I cook.
My motto: You only have one life to live, so… LIVE!
